This year we added a Safe Ground Thanksgiving this week for the SG campers and board members. Thanksgiving day I'll go to my son's and his father's house and help them cook a turkey and simple fare. The snacks before the dinner is what we do special. I work with homeless folks in Sacramento and every Thanksgiving and Christmas agencies go all out all over the place for about a week. The holiday's are pretty casual for us as well. Sometimes we have to switch up days, like for Christmas we have joint custody of my step children and we decided Christmas Eve we would celebrate since their mom has them the actual day of. It works. My husband's birthday is right around this time and actually falls on Thanksgiving Day every few years.
