Baby Safety & USB Cables

Baby Safety is imperative and often enough something simply looked over can harm our little ones. In case you haven’t seen in the news a 16 month old little girl, Trinity Anderson, has been severly burned last week by sucking on an I-POD USB cable that was plugged into her mother’s laptop.

This incident is something that can easily overlooked. Imagine sitting a few feet away from your baby while she is at play with her toys; maybe your reading, watching TV, or surfing the net, regardless you know your baby is fine.

You look over, low and behold, your baby really isn’t fine at all. Who would think a USB cord could do so much damage. I have my USB cord for my Blackberry and I-POD hanging from my PC, sure my baby is pass the “sucking on things” stage, but this must hit home for many.

Everyone please tuck your cords away or unplug them when not in use. Also, make sure you use your third eye checking on your baby more often then you would normally. My heart truly goes out to this little girl and her family. This is a reminder to us all, we can never be too careful.

Do you have any tips on child safety that most of us easily overlook. Please comment below to share with us. Thank you.
