Drama Alert! For the Love of Ray J Begins Again

Okay, I know! Family! Family! Family! This is a family website. I get it! Well, I can’t get enough of reality TV. I believe there are others out there with families that feel the same way!

So let’s talk, type, or whatever… about Reality TV for Monday! ‘Maniac Monday’ we can call it, because it gets pretty crazy, doesn’t it?

For the Love of Ray J 2 is on tonight, VH1 and MTV are both showing this madness. And of course, I will be right there watching it with the rest of my “Reality TV Buffs” (is that what people call it, I don’t know!)

I turned the DVR off with Comcast so I will watch it tonight when the kids are in bed. I used to DVR my drama shows and catch up when the kids were at school, but can’t anymore! (Parent’s don’t let your kids watch these shows! They do truly rot the brain!!!)

Okay back to the reason for my silliness… at VH1’s super trailer of For the Love of Ray J 2 shows Danger, a contestant from season one, stating that Ray J and her are having a baby! I though it was Nick Cannon’s brothers baby! I’m confused. I read further that Ray J is only stepping up to the plate since Nick Cannon’s brother disappeared from the job of “daddy duty!” Great job Ray J! Shame on you Danger’s baby’s father! I’m still so confused. What if it is Ray J’s baby and they only kept it secret until now. Geez!

Well, time will tell. Who else loves this drama mess? Please let me know if you do and what shows you tune into by commenting below (Your comments will validate that I’m still normal)!

Am I just a little immature to watch this stuff? Oh well! I like Hell’s Kitchen and the Housewives of Atlanta and New Jersey too, now what!

Whoopi & Kate Goselin; Who’s Right?

Whoopi & Kate Goselin; Who’s Right? Neither of them is right in my opinion!

Simply put, Whoopi must know in some circumstances, taking a stand is the right thing to do in regards to your children, law or not! That’s how laws are changed. Kate must know her children weren’t endangered. This is not a situation where you take a stand!

Living in a blended family, there are times when the other parent should step in. Sometimes both parents disagree, or the other parent has no clue the facts at hand!

Example of taking a stand when unnecessary, my daughter, Robyn has been going through things normal 13 year old girls don’t go through. Both parents agreed she live in our home until these issues subside. Not even a week into this new arrangement, her mom shows up with the police to come get Robyn. I’m still clueless why she brought the police or why she came at all. Her mother only needed to say that she had a change of heart, and we would’ve worked it out without the police. This was a moment in time that taking a stand was ridicules. More on this click here.

Example of properly taking a stand, years ago, I received a phone call from my daughter, Renae. She and her step mother at the time were screaming at each other like grown women. In speaking with her step mother, I couldn’t calm her down, but was able to calm my child. Renae expressed to me that her step mother was being a bit violent, scratched up her arm, and had lifted her up off of the ground (reminder Renae is tall). I jumped in my car and went to go get her, her father was at work. He was not angry at all. Later they split up, but just after this incident, her step mother seeked parenting classes.

There you have it! I want your opinion on Whoopi and Kate’s debate? Do you think Kate should’ve interrupted his parenting time, because she didn’t choose the babysitter that he chose? Maybe the stance is really that he shouldnt have women around the children so soon! What’s your stance on this. Please share with comments.

Time is of the Essence!

Posted 21 Sep 2009 — by Jennifer

Day in and day out, we handle our day as if it’s just another day. Grabbing our to-do list, finishing our goals for the day, not getting enough sleep, leaving our spouse to fall asleep on their own, and at times forgetting to tuck our children in for bed, forgetting time is of the essence.

Time is of the Essence. I say this because we’ve had our wake up call! My husband received a phone call this morning that his old friend, whom he hasn’t spoke to in years, passed in a car accident this morning. This man is but 37 years old, if that! His children have lost their father, if he had a significant other, she no longer wakes up to him, or falls asleep with his warmth.

My point is this; we get so caught up in time… Too often, I sleep in bed with the kids, and my husband is on the couch. Too often, we don’t speak about life; we only speak about what is necessary to run the house. Too often, we brush the kids off, because we are busy. Time is of the essence. It’s time to put down our to-do list and put down our pride, just for a few moments out the day, and remind our loved ones that we’re truly there for them.

Have you told your good friends you were thinking about them lately? Is there someone out there that you should reach out? Maybe, there is that one person that you need to forgive. Have you spoken the words of love to your family lately, in action, not in words? Let’s all be sure to not lose sight of time, and remind those around us how special they really are.

Robyn

Robyn

Okay, so I thought I was fixing our family matters. I was wrong. Robyn was picked up by her mother last night with a police escort. I don’t get it. I’m hurt and confused.

I thought we all agreed she was to be at our house, we all agreed it was for the best. My husband dropped my step son off to his mothers as planned, and she showed up within the hour with the police, to get Robyn.

I understand she missed Robyn, and wants to be there for her. Just say so, don’t show up with the police like there is a “real” problem. Just say out-loud, “It’s Sunday, that’s my scheduled day, I changed my mind!” It’s that easy.

My poor Robyn, learned nothing of what the consequences of her actions (these actions I leaved undisclosed due to the extreme nature of her actions, this shouldn’t be public, not one bit). We did nothing but loved her for the week. We thought the lesson to her actions was as simple as a change in lifestyle, a fresh new start. She didn’t even get that.
