The Kids Went to Wonderland

Do you recall me hinting to the world in Alice in Wonderland: Official Trailer 2 that my birthday was coming and I wanted to see Alice in Wonderland? I went on to let the world know by a few subtle “Hint hints, Wink winks, Nudge nudges”! Did I get what I wanted, NO!

My birthday is tomorrow and still no dear Alice for me… no dear Alice for me, but the kids went to Wonderland! Yup, they went with their Papa! Yea Yea! I’m happy they had a great time! Even though I’m, I’m going to rant a bit.

I thought I was going to sneak and go with the kids or maybe go today! My dad and husband wanted to take me out for an early birthday present. I thought my day would consist of Alice and dinner, but why would Papa want to see Alice in Wonderland two days in a row! Sounded fun no matter what it is we were doing, but my dear Yissie has a fever and we decided to reschedule. I’ll see Alice in Wonderland soon, but man oh man! I want to see it NOW!

To top it off, Renae, my 14 year old comes home from Wonderland talking about how she is going to marry the Mad Hatter! Yuck! How old is Johnny Depp these days? She needs to worry about her homework and not worry about a man that is older then me! Geez!

“Mr. Fox, you’re Fantastic, nothing less, then F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!” We just watched Fantastic Mr. Fox as a family and it was great. This great movie is upbeat, fast paced, funny, and many life lessons built into it. Fantastic Mr. Fox is a must see indeed and is like no other movie I’ve ever seen!

Mr. Fox lives a life of crime with his lady as if they’re Bonnie & Clyde, until the day the two of them sees death eye to eye in one of their chicken heist. Mr. Fox finds out that his lady love is pregnant and promises her that if they live through the situation they’ve gotten themselves in he will aim straight and get a job.

Later Mr Fox, deals with wild animal instincts and secretly goes on some daring and trivial pursuits trying to make a better life for his family and greed sets in, eventually he is faced with death once again. This time death stares his whole family and all of his friends eye to eye as well.

Spoiler alert: Mr Fox being the Fantastic fox he is makes everything right saving his family and rebuilding community in a way that Robin Hood might be delighted with.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is a must see for all ages. Enjoy!

Drama Alert! For the Love of Ray J Begins Again

Okay, I know! Family! Family! Family! This is a family website. I get it! Well, I can’t get enough of reality TV. I believe there are others out there with families that feel the same way!

So let’s talk, type, or whatever… about Reality TV for Monday! ‘Maniac Monday’ we can call it, because it gets pretty crazy, doesn’t it?

For the Love of Ray J 2 is on tonight, VH1 and MTV are both showing this madness. And of course, I will be right there watching it with the rest of my “Reality TV Buffs” (is that what people call it, I don’t know!)

I turned the DVR off with Comcast so I will watch it tonight when the kids are in bed. I used to DVR my drama shows and catch up when the kids were at school, but can’t anymore! (Parent’s don’t let your kids watch these shows! They do truly rot the brain!!!)

Okay back to the reason for my silliness… at VH1′s super trailer of For the Love of Ray J 2 shows Danger, a contestant from season one, stating that Ray J and her are having a baby! I though it was Nick Cannon’s brothers baby! I’m confused. I read further that Ray J is only stepping up to the plate since Nick Cannon’s brother disappeared from the job of “daddy duty!” Great job Ray J! Shame on you Danger’s baby’s father! I’m still so confused. What if it is Ray J’s baby and they only kept it secret until now. Geez!

Well, time will tell. Who else loves this drama mess? Please let me know if you do and what shows you tune into by commenting below (Your comments will validate that I’m still normal)!

Am I just a little immature to watch this stuff? Oh well! I like Hell’s Kitchen and the Housewives of Atlanta and New Jersey too, now what!

Family Fun Friday brings to you a film that our family feels will be a must see!

Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry introduce us to Precious, a film based on the novel “Push!” This film will be out in theatres 11/06/09. It’s an epic tale of a girl who had all odds against her and it appears she still rose above the trials and made life happen as it should.

Big names in the film from Mo’nique, Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, and introduces Gabourey Sidibe!

I’m ordering the novel at Amazon, I love to read before watching novel based films. If you want a copy here is the link: Push: A Novel. Have you read the novel, please tell?

Watch the trailer, will you be watching Precious as well? Please share by commenting below! I love to hear from our readers.

Look at the line up in this one…

Tyler Perry, Adam Rodriguez, Brian J. White, Taraji Henson, Marvin Winans, Hope Olaide Wilson, Mary J Blige, and Gladys Knight.

Do I need to say more… Oh, but I will, Trailers YouTube Channel says it all,

“When Madea catches sixteen-year-old Jennifer and her two younger brothers looting her home, she decides to take matters into her own hands and delivers the young delinquents to the only relative they have: their aunt April. A heavy-drinking nightclub singer who lives off of Raymond, her married boyfriend, April wants nothing to do with the kids.”

Must see, I’m sure it’ll be a good one! Due to come out September 11, 2009.
